About Us

Meet the members of the Mike’s Auto Sales Family.  Like most successful businesses, Mike’s Auto Sales had its humble beginnings. It all started back in 1969 in the family garage. Through blood, sweat, and tears it has grown into a thriving business today, selling to second and even third generations of customers. From all over Nebraska and many other states. Specializing in late model pre-owned pickups.

What makes Mike’s different?  The price, for one. You will be hard pressed to find a better value…anywhere.  Attention to detail.  Vehicles are road ready. And third, industry knowledge.  Their mission…to sell good vehicles to good people.Meet

Mike Minton

Mike started the business in 1969.  Buying and selling wholesale mostly, with some retail.  Did repair work in the dirt driveway, year round, seven days a week.  Through personal integrity, sacrifice, and hard work, the business grew. In 1984, a large new shop was added. Mike passed away suddenly, at the age of 47, shortly before the building was finished. His sons Joe & John took over the business. It became Mikes Auto Sales, Incorporated.

Meet Joe Minton

Joe grew up in the automotive industry… with motors in the driveway.  Sold 3 bicycles for his first car. Loves to buy and sell. Joe brings a vast mechanical know-how to the business, has a sharp eye for vehicles, along with the “clean gene.” Joe is considered the body man. In his spare time Joe enjoys working in his yard and restoring old pick-ups.

Meet John Minton

John joined the business in 1984, returning to Nebraska to work with his brother.  John has a mechanical background, in Motorcycle Mechanics. John also brings a vast knowledge of the car business to the table.  He is the paint man.  When not at the Auto Sales, John enjoys motorcycles and his vintage car collection.

Meet Elda Minton

Elda is the office manager, handling the purchase orders and titles.  “Mom” has worked for the company since the very beginning.  She still helps out with the business today.  Although not fully retired, Elda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, keeping a close eye on the “home place.”
